I honestly cannot think of a place I would have rather spent my four years of college. The wonderful feeling of community and the high quality people at Ohio Wesleyan is what makes it such a fabulous place. Combine that with a beautiful campus, interesting classes, and accessible professors and you begin to see why I gush about it so much. I was able to get involved in so many different aspects of college life- varsity sports, a cappella, leading admissions tours, freshman orientation, theater, and more. While I conceed that Ohio Wesleyan is not for everyone, I am very thankful that I am a part of the Ohio Wesleyan community.Although Ohio Wesleyan is ranked in the Princeton Review Board as a school where students seem to never stop studying, homework is not as intrusive or causes students to become as anti-social as that sounds. Ohio Wesleyan students are "cool dorks." Most students are friendly, engaging, interesting, and like to have a good time. The heavy workload just means that people have to prioritize their time more in order to balance fun and work. And like every other college, we enjoy our share of toga parties, walks of shame, and games of flip cup. And just because the majority of the student body doesn't get drunk every night doesn't mean that their are other fun options during the week. There are lots of musical groups brought in to play from Columbus, there are nice Delaware bars to hang out. Plus there's always just hanging out in the dorm room with your friends and watching a good DVD.
