Major: Language - French/Spanish/etc. (This Major's Salary over time)
Willaim Jewell's language programs are absolutely horrible—and fading. Each of the original six languages has been fazed out to the point of laughability; only French and Spanish are offered as majors to students entering post-2003, despite classes being offered in French, German, Japanese, Spanish, Greek, and Latin. However, the school's overseas studies program is excellent: almost every student at Jewell at least considers taking advantage of it. Even so, don't plan to be gone for a full year—you'd never get your required classes in, as Jewell tends to schedule classes awkwardly in order to ensure a solid group of Students are warned that they will probably spend five years at Jewell, though few take it seriously.I've heard that our Nursing Dept. is excellent, and among the best in the Midwest, however.
