I danced professionally for ten years. After graduating from college, I decided to attend Mills to earn an MFA and teach dance in higher education. At first, I found the curriculum to be terribly restrictive. Now that I am in my field, my Mills education has prepared me fantasticlly well.My profs at Mills were very patient with me as i really did not understand dance in an academic setting. They helped me to understand dance in a collegiate setting. If you are a returning dance professional who would like a career in academia, I recommend Mills.
