Major: Chemistry (This Major's Salary over time)
It's a great school and you will never second guess that you are getting a high quality education. You will however have to work for it. If you plan on continuing education after undergrad this is great because people will be more impressed with the 3.5 you work your ass off for here than the 3.9 you'll get handed to you at 95% of the other schools in the country. The science departments are all great. Biology and neuroscience faculty are all very approachable, welcome you into their offices, and are happy to work with undergraduates in their research labs. Chemistry and physics professors are harder to get through to. I think this is due to the large number of premeds that don't really want to be in the introductory classes and I would expect that once you get past that quality and approachability will improve. Outside of academics, it is what you make. There is a club or group for just about anything you could be interested in doing. If there's not - it's easy to start one. It's a diverse student population, and in the middle of a city - so you will always be able to meet someone with your interests or find a way to entertain yourself. You just need to be willing to put in the effort.
