I found that the most students had an indifferent attitude toward their studies and I can understand why. Most of the teachers did not explain concepts at an abstract level; they merely showed the class how to do problems or rehashed the book with few additions. I found myself dreading class and assignments- why go to class when I can read the book, and why do hours of mindless algebra to get an A on the next homework assignment?
