Morehead State University was a very good experience for me. Many of the people that leave bad comments about this school are probably just lazy freshmen who do not want to attend class & like to complain about everything. That said, I was always given the individual attention that I needed by the faculty. Morehead State also has a very friendly atmosphere. As a rather shy person, I was still able to meet people & make great friends along the way. It is true that the surrounding city of Morehead is rather dull, but Morehead is only located an hour from Ashland and Lexington. There is plenty to do if you really want to do it. Morehead State also has the best music department in the state and one of the best art departments in the state. Their nursing program is also very accredited. If you are looking for a school with a small town atmosphere, friendly people, and a small student-to-teacher ratio, then Morehead is the place to be.
