Brandeis is a great place to go if you want to have opportunities open to you, an accessible faculty, and a group of friends that you will have for a long time. The academics are top notch and you will always be able to find interesting things going on on campus. Chances are, if you've heard of someone that you'd like to hear speak, they either have or will be speaking at Brandeis. The social scene is completely what you make of it. Sometimes one will call a friend and say 'hey, there's nothing going on here. There's no party.' But if you are walking down to that area with twenty people and a load of alcohol, then you have a party. Don't wait for other people to make things happen.Brandeis is a diverse and accomplished campus. You will find many students with interesting stories. Put the undergraduates together, and sometimes you feel you have a global microcosm. I have only been impressed with Brandeis and am still discovering wonderful new aspects. I would definitely suggest applying here- almost every type of person here will find their niche with little difficulty and will then often be inspired to expand outward, both socially and academically.
