I transferred to Wellesley from having been one year in Northeastern university which was coed. The experience was so much different. A small school really makes a difference. IN the school everyone is willing to help you that is faculty and administration (students are very competitive) really go out of their way to help you. The courses are very challenging, there is lots of homerwork and very little if any time left to socialize. The latter can become very depressive because your only "friends" are the books and you just will feel very lonely. Wellesley is a VERY competitive school, everyone strives to be the best. My only recommendation to anyone applying here is to be ready to study hard. Wellesley is a very geneorus school too. IF you want to go abroad there is financial help (and courses), if you want to do research or anything. All this great advantages come with a price and that is to study really really hard, have almost no social life. In terms of the people most the students are very arrogant, they all think they are brilliant. However, there are a few who are nice. Yes, everyone there is VERY smart. It is definetely an experience to go there and I would have done it again. The many doors that opened for me were thanks to the SPECTACULAR education and opportunities that I got from Wellesley. If I miss it? no, not one bit, but I am very thankful and in the future when I finish all my studies I will donate money to it.
