Oberlin is a place that changed my life. It provided a challenging, stimulating, exciting environment for my intellectual and personal growth, and a model for continual learning. It afforded me caring, committed mentors and first-rate facilities. And it introduced me to lively, creative fellow students who have remained lifelong friends. I've continued to be closely in touch with subsequent generations of Oberlin students, and I'm convinced that it is still one of the most distinctive institutions of higher education in the world. I recommend it to bright, independent, creative students who want to learn to think for themselves in order to make the world a better place.
