Major: Geography and Geosciences (This Major's Salary over time)
I graduated in the 70's so it's hard to say whether that experience holds true anymore. I suspect that academically CU has only gotten better. However, a recent visit to Boulder convinced me NOT to send my kid there. The place, while beautiful and culturally nice has overpriced itself. I simply could not afford to send my kid here. The off campus housing prices are insane. (a room in a house costs what my mortgage does in Idaho) The cost of dining entertainment etc, is also ridiculously high. Boulder has also changed from a low key get along kind of place into a yuppie mecca full of giant SUVs and strip malls. Very nice strip malls mind you. The whole front range is one big traffic jam. On the other hand, if you're from Boston you might think it's great. The campus remains one of the nicest in North America with some of the best profs with an amazing array of majors to pick from.
