Major: Psychology (This Major's Salary over time)
I think that it is very important to be realistic and open-minded when choosing a university. The SMU student body does have a reputation for being snotty and rich, however, the tuition is over $20,000 a year, which is more than most state schools 4 year tuition combined. Realistically, that is the type of student that is attracted to the school. Not all of the rich kids are snooty, there are friends for everyone at SMU. you can find your niche…if you hate the Greek life and want nothing to do with it, it is more difficult and annoying for you, but also, if you are into the Arts, this is the place to be. SMU has a wonderful reputation…imagine going into job interviews and being considered first above everyone else because you went to SMU and not just another Texas State School. You get out of this education what you put into it. Honestly, the people there are quality, it is a matter of finding them, just like anywhere else. It is a once in a lifetime experience. Where else are you going to see a 19 year old flying in their own jet - shopping in NYC on the weekends, or having a margarita in mexico? The resources and contacts you will make are endless…
