I LOVE PITT.This reviewis doing something crazy with my posts. Hopefully this one stays up. If not, I give up!The University is extremly helpful when it comes to organiations. They will fund you, support you, give you free resources, etc. NO other schools in the area do this. All my of my friends find this to be completly unheard of in their experiences. If it wasnt for the university, we'd be paying out of our own pockets for conventions and copying and mailing and we wouldnt be able to conduct large projects. The students are great. I held a position in an organization called Circle K were I had to visit club meetings at other universities. Although there were the exceptions in a few people from each school, the Pitt students were all exceptional. Always willing to help, EXTREMLY motivated. Not just in Circle K, but in general, the student body is extremly motivated and friendly.Although we don't have beautiful landscaping (although we do have some), we have a city! We have our classes in beautiful buildings. The nationality rooms in the cathedral are beautiful. The cathedral alone is beautiful. We have streets, city buses (which Pitt students can take ANYWHERE for FREE), small ma and pa restraunts, anything! We live in a city. THe possibilities are endless. Our sports atmosphere is amazing. Standing in the Petersen Events Center with your yellow Oakland Zoo Ts all screaming or riding a buses to Heinz Field with thousands of other students is indescibable.Although our classes can be large (most are not), if you want to make a personal relationship with a professor, you can. If you want to hide in the auditorium seats, you can. It's what you make of it. I have found the staff extremly helpful in the courses as well as with scheduling.I love Pitt and believe it is definitly worth a look.
