This is my first year at Colgate and I have only been here for less than a month, so although I am really enjoying my experience so far, it is a bit biased. I actually started at Colgate early by registering for a camping trip for incoming freshmen that takes place in the Adirondack Mountains, which was awesome, despite some rain. I was able to meet new classmates right away, which has definitely helped me with my adjustment to campus and my being far away from home (I'm from Montana and Colgate is in New York). Registration for classes was really easy, my professors are very personable and friendly, my dorm is full of terrific people, and the campus is one of the prettiest I've ever seen. There has already been a great list of activities to participate in, and all of my questions about Colgate - no matter how silly they seem - have been answered with sincere kindness. I was very nervous and excited to be so far from home, but everything has worked out great so far.
