Major: Education (This Major's Salary over time)
When I became a student at VRJC, I went because my parents said I HAD to go to college SOMEWHERE. I was not very outgoing and hated the idea of having to "start over" without knowing anyone. My choice was made for me—Vernon was close, but not too close to home, and was very affordable. I fell in love with the school and its people within the first week and I have never regretted going there. I received an excellent education at VRJC, graduating in two years with an Associate of Arts and an Associate of Science degree. The social life opportunities were better than I ever expected. While I was there, I held a work-study job and lived in the dorms which were very roomy and comfortable. I have never seen a dormatory any where that compares to those at VRJC! I became involved in the Student Government Association which opened a lot of doors for me. That is one of the nicest things about a "small" college—opportunities are endless. All you have to do is get out there and do it!
