The best thing about Brandeis were the professors. The classes that were offered weren't necessarily the greatest (some choices I had to make certainly reflected in my transcript), but the faculty was the best. I kept in touch with 2 of my favorites and they continue to inspire me today. They will really bend over backward to help you out. Take advantage of independent study classes, they are a great way to get credit for studying something you really are interested in, and for getting to know the prof. as a real person and not just a lecturer.

The campus is beautiful. The dorms aren't even that bad, anyone who has lived in the Castle or in the Mods will agree.

Finances were an issue for me, but there was aid readily available, as well as many on campus jobs. Plus the Boston area, which is very accessible, was a great place for internships.

Take advantage of what is available. Brandeis wasn't a party school and it never will be - and for your money (or rather your parents' money), college shouldn't be about social life. You'll make friends and have fun wherever you go if you want the social life. Brandeis is about exploring your interests and your mind. It prepared me well for graduate school.
