Drake is a place where you can meet plenty of people if you choose to become involved in the Greek system or other campus organizations. Des Moines, Iowa isn't a very happening city, but there is enough to do so that you can stay entertained. It is also the capital of Iowa, which can supply political opportunities for internships. Des Moines is also the city where many insurance corporations are headquartered.
