If you choose this college - remember you are taking a entire semester class in 18 days - then you get a 3 to 4 day break then you will start again. There are many student's that have to repeat classes - which some of these classes need to be audited by the University to see why so many student's do fail and also fail more then once. Either the instructor and the tutor's need to be evaluated. Or the Dean is not paying attention - and bringing in the student's failing to the office to help guide them. Once your money is taken you are now just a number. I wish more student's with this problem would read this site and review UMW. This is a small town - therefore less opportunities for local internships and job opportunities. It is about 2 hours from a city - so if you do not want the feeling of be isolated think twice. The winter's are very cold - and very long. The town itself is a old western town - with a couple of streets with nice older homes to see - but the rest of the town is somewhat run down the streets in town are full of large pot holes and in dire need of major repairs. The entertainment is local movie place , Beaverhead Golf Course & YMCA if a student has extra money to spend. The local old bars and pot stores are a attraction for others. The local newspaper is attraction for other trashing others - or giving the local events or a few that ramble - small town stuff. There are a wide variety of churches to attend - one even serves free soup/rolls at least once a month which is really nice.

I wish we would have never sent our student to this University - we are preparing to have our child transferred - You student will be nothing more then a number after they receive your money - they brag on their web site they will help your student if they have difficulties in a class - there is a instructor that has offered a class every semester - partly due to kids repeating the class more then once even up to 3 to 4 times- wouldn't that ring a bell at the Dean's Office ? Either the Instructor is not teaching the class properly or does not have Tutor's that qualify to be Tutor's for the Class? The student's do not feel comfortable around the Instructor to get help - The Tutor for this class told us said he did not understand what the Instructor was doing - the work was wrong. There are student's that do not want to approach the Instructor at all - there were kids in the class that some student's with lower scores then the one's that bearly passed still passed the class. We are going to transfer our student to a more professionally operated University. This instructor has the power to hurt student's.

There are problems with one Instructor that is burden with teaching more then a few online classes during one semester - as well as teaching classes in person- the class is not a easy one some student's are having a difficult time - how is a Instructor teaching so many classes have the proper time to help their student's? I do not think this is fair to the Instructor or the Student's paying out about 1,000 for taking this one class- plus books and materials.
