DO NOT ATTEND West Virginia STATE UNIVERSITY. WVSU is a horrible choice for anyone. I am an out of state student and was very disappointed when I came to this newly dubbed university (just changed from college status), there is a chemical plant some 10 ft away from the campus not to mention a rehab center where they let the patients out at night SAFE I think not. Non existent social life, no parties, very few socials etc…You have to travel to a bigger school Marshall/WVU to go clubbing or party. The frats and sororities are unorganized the Omegas a.k.a the Q’s treat everybody like shit because honestly they think they run the school getting preferential treatment wherever they go (not to mention getting freshman drunk at their infamous parties to have sex with). There is not a lot of attractive people so your pickings are slim in addition since this is a small campus be prepared to have whatever you do broadcasted to everyone. The people are generally unapproachable and not the least bit friendly. The faculty is nice but overextended and very much lacking credentials most teach at more then one college and are not available for questions etc and have no campus hours. This work is not challenging at all more like high school lower level. Plus the title of HBSC is laughable considering 80% of the students are white commuters so chances are you’ll be one of the only black people in your class. The football sucks big time, so does the dance team and the band only has 16 people. SO ALL IN ALL DON’T COME TO THIS SCHOOL u will regret it. OH did I mention the 2 inch. cockroaches that inhabit the dorms, or the fact that every luxury cable, phone, gym membership u have to pay for out of your pocket.
