Gettysburg College

At first i HATED Gburg becuase im from NYC and coming here was a complete atmosphere change. However, after spending almost a year and a half here, i go back to NYC and cry to come back "home"! Gettysburg is not only a beautiful campus; especially in the fall when the tree leaves turn red and orange but a warm and friendly place to be. Although some may not admit it servo(cafeteria) has some pretty good food in there. On special holidays all the staff go out there way to make us thanksgiving dinner( in groups we get our own turkery, mashed potatoes, corn, pumpkin pie, etc) halloween dinner and not to mention mignight madness(snacks at midnight). We recently inaugurated the first female president this school has ever seen( YEAH) and already this campus is looking better. The diversity has improved from over the years, its not big but its better than it was before. This school has some wonderful professors! Most live walking distance (CLASSES R NEVER CANCELLED) and are eager to give you their entire information(home number, office number, aim! name it they will give it to U). However, this school has its bad points. Most of these kids are white upperclass audi-bmw driving alcoholics. Everyone is apart of a frat or soror and what pisses me off is no matter how much they get twisted the night b4, they still get the damn A's and B's on exams and papers. Gburg is also a school is that is open for change, my friends and i are starting this schools first historically black soror and frat, and it is going to be EXCITING! Although we are only a divison 3 school, everyone tries to particpate and show bullet love! So, if you think Gburg is the place u wanna be and ur from a big city than u gotta come here with an open mind and a very friendly perosn because there are times when u may need to be in order to actually like being at a school in the middle of a very quiet town. Oh, yeah; if u dont have a car on campus than ur in a situation because nothing is is walking distance. The best thing the town of gburg has to offer is walmart and the outlet mall(Old navy, gap, addidas and other stuff> however, dc is only an hour away so most of the stuff is there. The classes are are no joke! This school has challenged me alot already, professors are nice but not easy! Im a soc/spanish major so i have it ruff( lots of reading and paper writing) This school is crazy when it comes to study abroad. Everyone here goes somewhere! SOme of my friends has traveled to france, spain, mexico, london, africa,japan austrailia, germany and plenty of other places.Gburg may have its downs but its pros out way them by a lot! w GOOOO BULLETTS!
