UGA is a fun school with tons of things to get involved in. Some of the majors are more competitive than others. I'm currently in the Lamar Dodd School of Art, and it's pretty cool. The teachers are creative and the classes sizes are small enough for you to either blend in or stand out. It depends on how much you want to get out of it.
There is a lot of freedom in the art department and friendly creative people. I'm not so sure how competitive or great the art department is overall, but you will definitely come out of it with some knowledge and a working portfolio.

UGA is all about the social life. There IS SO much to do all the time. It can sometimes be distracting. A AWESOME new band comes to play downtown like every night, and there is always a party to be had. And how can you forget the rabid school football spirit! UGA fans are hardcore football fans, and it's hard to not get caught up in the 'sea of red and black'.
Overall, UGA is an awesome university for the price. Great campus, AMAZING TOWN, quality education, and tons of fun!!
