I now attend Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. I transferred out of UMiami. Seeing both Miami of Ohio and Miami, Florida, I can definitely tell a difference in the quality of education. UMiami has nice weather and a good football team but honestly their academics are nowhere near Miami of Ohio (that's not really an insult because Miami U. is considered a public ivy and is known for top notch academics). UMiami's food service needs alot work. You are definitely getting ripped off at UMiami. I am getting a better education at Miami U. (public university) than I ever got at small Miami, Florida. Also, UMiami is only like 80 years old, where's the history and tradition? My new alma mater is almost 200 years old. When Florida belonged to Spain, Miami was a university. UMiami's girls are hott but not as cute as I thought they would be. UMiami's president is great (a Miami U. alumni). I would highly recomend looking at other schools (except for Law School, UMiami's law school is stellar) unless WEATHER is your deciding factor.
