Mount Holyoke is an outstanding school academically with many helpful and interesting professors and a reasonably wide bredth of offerings, particularly for a school its size. However, that being said I personally would not make the decision to attend again. I think the all-female enviroment creates an enviroment of ultra competitiveness and cattyness. The word "diversity" is thrown around left and right at MHC and while they do mean it in terms of race and ethnicity, I found that there are a few Mount Holyoke prototypes and if you don't fit into one of those categories it's hard to fit in socially. The social life in general is sorely lacking aside from some poorly themed parties in the campus center.Mount Holyoke is the perfect school for some people, but unless you're absolutely crazy about it on your visit, I wouldn't take a chance on attending.
