Date: Dec 28 2004 Major: Fine Arts - Painting/Sculpture/Photography/etc (This Major's Salary over time) CCAD curriculum is very structured and that is a very good thing because you don't want to waste your money taking classes that get you nowhere in the pursuit of your degree. I went to a large university before I went to CCAD and the quality of teaching at CCAD is so much better, I could hardly believe the difference. It's true CCAD uses some professionals in the field to teach, but I see that as a positive because they know what is going on out in the real world and they can really be an asset. The academic professors are first rate, all who I took had their doctorate in the subject they taught. I couldn't have been happier with these teachers especially after what I had been through at the university and all their TA's. CCAD's art program can be pretty demanding, but it's necessay to succeed. When you are finished with the program you really have an education behind you and it's respected in part because of its difficulty. (I've heard it referred to bootcamp). If you can't stand very stringent rules and expectations then maybe it's not the place for you. I really enjoyed my experience at this school despite some cliquiness, which might have been unique to the class I was in.
