Hi there. I'm trying to determine if SFSU would be a good fit for me. I want to major in psych then go to med or law school. Were the teachers motivational? As in were their teaching methods great? Also, how is it trying to get into the cheer squad? I did cheer through hs. |
Major: Psychology (This Major's Salary over time)
I am an African American female undergrad at SFSU, majoring in psychology. I am on the cheerleading squad and maintain a 3.7 GPA. I actually ended up at SFSU by accident. 9/11 happened as I was beginning to apply to universities and I decided not to go out of state as I had been planning for years. I didn't get into UCLA and then I missed the intention to enroll deadline at San Diego State. SFSU was my 3rd choice. I am so glad things happened the way they did though. Being from the Central Valley (in California) I had never been exposed to such diversity in demgraphics as well as in thought. The professors teach the curriculum with a slight liberal bias, but they don't convert people into radicals. Rather they provide an education that challenges the status quo and either opens students up to a brand new way of thinking or grounds them further in their beliefs.
