Lewis & Clark offered a great environment for me to learn how to be a scientist. There are a number of talented and personable faculty in the sciences that are willing to invest time in aspiring scientists. Small class size and the opportunity to conduct research on-site during the summer months were crucial factors in my experience.

Lewis & Clark's overseas study opportunities are notable for their variety and availability to a wide range of majors.

Sadly, Lewis & Clark has recently made been listed in college review publications as being very marijuana friendly. While this may or may not be true, it doesn't bode well for future recruitment. Current students: Next time you answer a survey, don't mark the "My bong is my life" box, OK?

Lewis & Clark does a liberal student body, but it is within keeping of the general liberal vibe of the Portland area. Further excursions from the political mainstream can be found across the river at Reed College.

Lewis & Clark's name won't take its alumni many places outside of the Pacific Northwest, but the experience and education gained while attending L&C do provide the tools to pursue almost any postgraduation plans.
