there is no escape from this "College." 95% of students go there because their financial aid package from the school was too good to pass up, which obviously does not speak well for the school. once there, students realize that there is no kind of social life (parties happen for the first week, then they're done for the year), the student body is comprised of mainly wealthy ny/nj residents with no opinions of their own, and while the school has 2500 students, professors do not give as much individualized attention as one would expect from a small private school. also, everything gives off the feel of a high school - the students, the atmosphere, administration, professors, even the work. i honestly don't feel like i am in college. which is why i am transferring. and there's another thing - MANY students want to transfer but find that the financial aid offered from FDU is too good of a deal to pass up. they lure you in with the money and make it almost impossible for you to get out until you graduate. it can't be good when they have a retnetion rate of only 75% of students returning for sophomore year!!!
