I just complete my first semester at Connecticut College. I thought I'd give you a list of pro's and con's about the school.

Pro's

friendly atmosphere- People are pretty friendly here. Because there are no freshmen dorms there is a lot of interaction among the grades, which is definately cool. I've made some very close friends in a very short time. I'll admit that it was definately hard at first (HATED orientation), but once classes start you meet people quickly.

School Spirit- There are a lot of pretty awesome events on campus that the whole student body gets pumped up for like Camel Olympics (Dorms compete against eachother in fun competitions), and Festivus (fun Christmas party).

Small School atmosphere= more oppurtunities: You have a lot of opportunities here to experience so many different activites.

Con's:

New London sux- Ok, it doesn't suck but it is pretty boring. You will at some point or another urge to get out of this dinky little town…however, NY and Boston are only 2 hours away

Campus life can get kinda boring- The school does an ok job with providing students with enuf to do. There are always accapella concerts, and cool art show to attend if that is your thing. The kegs tend to be a little boring and usually get broken up pretty quickly.

All in all, I do like Conn. I have my complaints (The school SUCKS at providing students adequate transportaion off campus), but I really do enjoy going here. You'll make life long friends in a caring enviorment. Definately check out this school, do an overnight, and see if it is right for you.
