Grove City College

Grove City College did a great job in preparing me, a molecular biology (pre-med) major, for medical school. I completed medical school in 4 years, did a 5 year residency and internships totalling 3 years. I am now a private-practice cardiothoracic surgeon earning approximately $500,000/year. Grove City College did a wonderful job preparing me for all that I was to encounter.

The strong Christian values at the college also taught me to remember that all of the money is truly God's money, that all I have is His. Physicians often develop an "I am God" air about them, and it's quite easy to do so with all of the money to be made. However, we are to be humble in the presence of the Lord, and GCC drove that point home without fail. The only way I can do what I do is through Christ who strengthens me.
