This school is perfect in almost all areas; the campus is very nice and well laid out, the student body is friendly and diverse, the cost are only slightly more than the community college I attended in Houston prior to going here, and the faculty is helpful and knowledgable. This campus is expanding and remodeling by replacing the dated Rec center, University Center, and dorms, all of which will be completed in the next year or so. Currently parking is pretty bad for communters but soon three garages are to be put on campus to cope with the problem. I like it here a lot even though it is in a small town there is always a party or a bar to attend (need not be 21 to drink…if you have older friends). As long as you get involved with a club, sport or go greek you will be kept busy and have a good time. I live on campus and like it a lot. The dorms are not beautiful but are comfortable, quiet, clean and easy to sneak in girls. My only problem with SFA is the selectivity of students, lower addmissions standards allow people that don't belong in college attend SFA, most of them are gone in less than a year. Currently the board is discussing a more challenging addmissions process to weed out those that don't belong at this University and will further more increase the value of a degree from SFA. This school is not easy if you are actually concerned about your grades. Go to class and study about 5-10 hours for your tests and you will make the dean's list every semester.
