I am a graduate student at UCSB. This is a dream university for research. Great social life. People are cool and friendly. Lots of parties / clubs. Great professors, all oriented towards research. If you are aiming for creative research, this is arguably the best college in US. Espacially for graduate school.

The only thing I don't like is the work-out center, it is real old, don't know why they aren't buying some brand new machines. It has pools + beach with a surf point, though. Which is quite cool.
