i would consider uml not such a great choice for a college. this is my second year at uml, and im not really that impressed with the school in general. like the others said, the fin aid and reg's offices are a joke, they dont even know what theyre doing, most ppl working there are work study kids that just dont give a sh*t. second, there is absolutely nothing to do on this campus whether it be weekdays or weekends. most people that go here are commuters (i think like 70%) so the friends u end up making will most likely live at least 20 minutes away. the city sucks, period, besides the tsongas arena since it has some decent concerts now and then. the dorms are also a joke bc they havent been updated since the ice age. depending on where u live most ppl keep their doors shut and ull probably never even meet the ppl that live next door to u. as far as the shuttle bus situation between campuses go… u may as well bring ur bike to college… seriously. when i was a freshman i used to wait for the friggin bus for at least 30 min sometimes 45 at a time in the rain/snow/wind u name it. the faculty are usually nice and helpful. u need a car to do anything fun, which i usually go up to nashua since there is at least a mall and things to do up there. forget about finding a parking spot on weekday mornings if u wanna drive to class on a differnt campus. the only reason i stay is to be with my boyfriend. if i was u i would definitely recommend going to a diff place for college if at all possible… just my opinion.
