I wanted to go to a smaller, private school and was impressed with Chapman's film program. Even though the school is actually categorized as "mid-size", it definately has a small school feel to it, which can be both good and bad. Good that you get the individualized attention, small class sizes and see many familiar faces every day. Bad because you do see the same people a lot. This, however, changes each sememster and everyone here is basically friendly. The school is somewhat in a "bubble", as I suppose most smaller-sized private schools are, and in that way is very different from a larger, public school. Bottom line is, I guess it depends upon what you like. As for me, I'm having a great time here and am learning a lot from some really good teachers. The film school is incredible and with the new, big building that is being built down the street it will be amazing!

This is not a commuter school as almost all here are full time students living either on or near campus. In that aspect you really get a feel of what you might guess college life should be like.

As in previous comments, there is a lot to do in the city. (Hey, it IS the O.C.) The meal plan and the dorms are expensive, but so is the tuition! At least the food is decent and the dorms—especially the newer ones—are comfortable enough and have their own bathrooms.

Yeah, I would recommend this place.
