UTSA is a good school to attend for the working professional or commuter who just wants to get a degree and get out, but it is a bad school to attend for a student who is looking for a well-rounded, fulfilling university experience. Whether or not you will enjoy it depends on what type of student you intend to be. The faculty and staff are friendly, helpful and available, but the community atmosphere sucks and school spirit is completely non-existant. 95% of the students commute, campus is always desolate at night and on the weekends, and parking is always a nightmare. I'm transferring out after this semester. If you are considering attending UTSA, visit the campus during a school-day and see what you think; don't just listen to the propaganda in the tour; they're paid to make you think UTSA is the best thing since sliced bread, and they want your money!
