College has helped my career a ton. If it wasn’t for the University of Pittsburgh I might not be working for one of the largest chemical companies right now. Thanks to the jobfairs on campus I was able to get a coop position with DuPont back in my sophomore year, and ever since have been with the company. Many people complain and think Pitt is a horrible school, but I work with many people from MIT, PSU, Texas AM, PENN, and their work is no better no worst than mine. Pretty much it doesn’t matter what school you go to, as long as you put forth an effort. So by getting my current job shows that just because I went to Pitt doesn’t mean a person from MIT will get the job prior to us. Also, it is alway funny people think the social life is only a B at Pitt. Folks, it’s a large city get out and enjoy the culture. I’m willing to bet there are 20 times more things to do in a city school vs. a school in the middle of no wwhere. In the end I guess people tend to base social life on how blitzed they get, so I guess thats why the schools in the middle of nowhere get better ranks in that catagory. I recommend any city school for people looking to advance their cultural understanding of the world, and that look to do educational fun activities…
