Date: Mar 13 2005 Major: Journalism (This Major's Salary over time) I received an excellent undergraduate education at San Jose State. The journalism school at SJSU is top-notch. I was better prepared for the rigors of graduate school than many of my peers who graduated from more prestigious universities. (I attended the University of Missouri Graduate School of Journalism.) Although SJSU is widely seen as a commuter school, I lived in the dorms on campus, as well as downtown apartments close to campus, so I feel like I had a complete and fulfilling college experience. I made life-long friends at SJSU, and I still correspond with one of my old j-school professors via email. My only real complaint relates to the financial aid department at SJSU. The staff was always late issuing loan checks, which made life unnecessarily difficult at times. Having said that, I have absolutely no regrets regarding my scholastic choices. I'm proud to tell my journalism colleagues I attended SJSU. There's a lot of truth in the old saying, "College is what you make of it!"
