Sewanee The University of the South

I was enamored of Sewanee from the first moment I stepped onto the campus a lot of years ago. I went away to graduate school but am now living near enough that I can easily keep my connection with the school as an active alum. I started out as a psych major but decided that the English Department provided a far better major for me. I have never regretted that choice. I learned to think while in college. I know that Sewanee, like many liberal arts schools, did not "prepare" me for my JOB, but it prepared me for life. I would have had to go to graduate school in my field regardless. I was especially taken with the amount of personal attention the faculty gives all students. You have to choose to sleep in not to learn at this school.
