Let me just say, I am glad I went to KU because it helped me realize that this wasn't the school for me. The reason I do not like KU has nothing to do with it's size, it has to do with it's location. I felt completely isolated here, considering I am not from the state and my lack of transportation and friends it was hard to get around. KU isn't the school for you if you are an independent person who is looking to go about college for an serious education and a tame/intimate social life. KU claims to be diverse, but when it comes to social scene it isn't at the least bit, it is incredibly clicky and is dominated by the Greek system. In all honestly it seemed like a bubble to me, much like junior high or high school. Do not get me wrong this is a great school that can work out for many, but for people who are looking for more opportunity, a more accomodating campus, more diversity when it comes to social life, I wouldn't suggest KU to be the school for you. In fact, I am transfering next year, do not let my opinion discourage you. KU is the kind of school where you either LOVE it or HATE it. It just wasn't the school for me.
