Date: Dec 31 1969 Major: Chemistry (This Major's Salary over time) Grove City was (and still is!)a wonderful school. Academically it was rigorous, to say the least. There were many days when I just wasn't sure I could take another day. But I did, and I grew so much due to my experiences there. I did quite a few things outside of my major. I spread myself thin and I wasn't sure that I wanted anything to do with chemistry when I gradated. That's exactly where the Lord put me, however, and everything is working out well. My profs in college taught me to think, to be comfortable in a lab, and to be ready to work hard. Ultimately my grades were lower when I graduated from GCC than they would've been had a gone to a less rigorous school, but I don't believe that I would've learned nearly as much or been as prepared to enter the work force had I not stuck it out at the Grove. I definitely feel as though I am much more competent and relaxed in a lab setting than my peers who started work around the same time as me. If you're applying to Grove City there's no doubt you've at least heard a bit about the rules, the Christian atmosphere, the academic challenge that it presents, etc. Yes, it's true, they're a bit strict, it's Christian, and it's hard! If you're not interested, then don't apply. There are too many people that want to be there for those that really don't, and only complain once they are there, to be taking up spots. If you are interested - go for it! I truly believe that it's a great school and will sing its praises to anyone that wants to listen!
