I am a first-year biology major and I am loving UCSB!! It is the best school in California for a student who doesn't want to be stuck in a library all day studying. The academics are great here especially the sciences but the social life is so unbeatable!! My first 3 weeks here was like one big party! I met so many people really fast and got well aquainted with the streets of IV within days. I could have chosen to go to other, more rigorous schools like UCLA but now that I am here in the sun, by the beach, with such an awesome party scene…i couldn't survive anywhere else. I actually feel sorry for people at other boring UCs who turned down santa barbara.. it is sooo your loss!!
