Why did you apply to GCC if you are against what it stands for? They make it very clear that what they are is a conservative, religous, independent college. |
Major: English (This Major's Salary over time)
1. This school is strong in the classics of Western civilization, but weak in giving you resources to interpret them from different perspectives.2. Grove City prides itself on being staunchly conservative—do not expect that to change even with reasoned conversation with faculty and students.3. If you are gay, you will find many other students painfully closeted like yourself—but this will not give you much comfort. You'll also find an (in)famous psychiatrist ready to help you, but instead, head to Pittsburgh as much as possible.4. If you are liberal, or even open-mindedly conservative, read the original sources, do some extra work on your own, and be ready for the shock of graduating into the real world that doesn't know where GCC is (even if the school boasts it is ranked in US News and World Report).5. Do NOT attend here if you are planning post/graduate work—you will make your path harder, unless it is in religious studies.
