Below is an E-mail from a professor which sums it all up! —Original Message—Dr. Liff, Tables 3 and 4 are complete, but I will spend part of today examining evidence of effect modification before handing them in. After that I will proceed with lab excercise #5, but I am missing notes on this. The dates associated with the notes should be 3/1-3/3. Do you have these and may I come by today after 2pm to pick them up? When is a good time for you? Thanks David David, I think we have been through this before. Are you aware of how disruptive this is? I have provided handouts with holes punched in them. If you put them in a notebook, they would be organized, and you would know what you are missing in advance. Since you cannot get to class regularly, you should have asked someone to pick up notes for you. If you lose them, you should copy them from another student, and not make that my responsibility. Please make sure of ALL of the handouts you are missing and let me know. I will put them in your mail folder one time. I won't do it again. Sorry for my being grumpy about this. I know that working full-time and taking courses is difficult, but you should realize that there are 57 students in the class. These individual problems, weeks after we have finished a topic, and missing handouts weeks later, are disruptive. I do want to see you finish, but only you can assure that. Getting yourself organized is the way to start. Please put all of your handouts in a notebook, and let me know ALL of the handouts you are missing, lab or lecture. Good luck. jml
