Quincy College has just been one disappointment after another for me. You can go a whole semester without doing any course work and the instructors will give you a good grade for attendence and class participation. About ninety percent of the equipement in the computer labs are outdated, overworked pieces and it's a coin toss whether or not the network will even be functional. I've had classes that had to be cancelled because the equipment in the computer labs wouldn't cooperate. The school over-sells parking, the only parking offered is a very small lot in front of the main building that is never sufficient for the schools mostly commuter student body. The main building, Coddington Hall, resembles a stereo-typical public school building with chipped, peeling paint, cracks in the walls, air-conditioners secured with ply-wood and the whole nine-yards. The idealic scene is completed by young students who dress like gangsters from rap videos hanging out in groups in front of the main building smoking (under a 'no smoking' sign).

Despite all the issues Quincy College has my favorite draw back to Quincy College is the Schools President. A gruff, burly gentleman who on an average day can be found working with the custodial staff. I kid you not. When he's not pushing a trash barrel or shoveling wood chips he's storming around the parking lot issuing parking tickets and running people off the property who are just waiting for parking spaces to open up. In spite of all of this Quincy is one of the more expensive junior colleges around. The staff are usually inexperienced work study students who are not very knowledgable and the school seems to have a 'charge more, offer less' policy. Do yourself a favor and remove Quincy from your list of potential schools. Massasoit and Bunker Hill are both cheaper, cleaner and more serious about education.

I took English I and II at Quincy College and I bet my grammars horrible… got good grades though…
