I love Mcdaniel College. I would not think twice about attending another college. If you are an outgoing individual who wants to be successful in life then this is the college for you. Another aspect the school does not get credit for is the student body knows how to party. If you do not drink alcohol then do not come to Mcdaniel. Where else can you get up at 9 am on saturday morning to tailgate all day at the bowl watching your coference championship football team play. Dancing in the clubrooms till 2am is always fun. "The Wall" is the best spot to party. Every friday and saturday night when the weather permits you can get somewhere from 50 to 200 students drinking and partying out in front of Blanch Ward Hall. Spring Fling cannot be matched by any liberal arts college! The college has agolf course and students can play for free. Golfing with the buds and a bud is always a great time. At the department picnics at the end of the year they have kegs of Yingling and the professors are so liberal they allow underage drinking. Even if you can't find a party on campus, Baltimore is less than 30 minutes away and D.C less than an hour. It is a work hard until Thursday mentality. Eventually you will get busted by campus safety but nobody cares because as long as you pay your tuition and get good grades you are in good shape. Our Saying is "drink your fill here on the hill". Enough said. Oh by the way academics are amazing and do not receive enough credit. You can do research with your professor as early as your sophmore year. Not to mention the strong base of Alumni are always willing to help you get a job to kick start your career. Herb, one political science professor, can get you an internship in Annapolis at the state capital or in D.C. Surprisingly the connections are amazing and useful. The campus and the buildings are beautiful. I come from over 3000 miles away and have loved every minute of it.
