Date: Jun 03 2005 Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time) I came to TVCC after 35 years away from education. I have graduated with a 3.81 GPA, so I'm not down on the school because of "sour grapes". I had perhaps the worst group of teachers I've ever had, including high school. (In fact, my high school teachers far excelled these.) There was the occasional exception, but for the most part the teachers I had were there to pick up a paycheck and that was about it! One of the teachers I had, although quite earnest in hear teaching, did not even have an Associate's degree. It is a wonder that this college has maintained its accreditation. I have extremely good study habits, so was able to make it through with As and Bs, but I learned only because I taught myself. Also, the counseling office is a joke. Perhaps the only one worth talking to is Vickie Dossett, but most counselors were of little to no assistance in helping me plan my curriculum. It is because of TVCC that I decided "I can teach as well as any of them", so I've decided to go on and get my Master's degree in order to teach college-level classes.
