Major: Art & Design Department (This Major's Salary over time)
Overall, I made my experience at Radford the best that I could. I was a transfer student and I lived in a socially active dorm where I made tons of friends. I joined tons of clubs and organizations and made more friends. If you are coming in as a freshman, you should try to sign up in one of the freshmen dorms so that you could instantly make tons of friends. If you are a transfer student, try living in one of the nicer dorms like Tyler or Norwood. Try participate in as many clubs and organizations as you can so that you can eliminate the boredom of living in Radford. Especially at night, there isn't much to do in Radford except for going to Wal-Mart. If you are 21, you can go to bars. If you're not, you can go to a frat party. The social fraternities and sororities are a little bit shady here, but if you are interested in joining one, by all means go ahead and rush in. There are also other non-social non-alcohol greek alternatives such as the honor co-ed fraternity Phi Sigma Pi or the service co-ed fraternity Alpha Phi Omega if you are not into social fraternities & sororities. If greek is not your thing, there are tons of ethnic clubs, sports clubs, intramural sports, service clubs, and many more that welcome new members. Sign up for these in the fall Club Fair.
