Major: Nutrition (This Major's Salary over time)
ECU is a great university located in a city that continues to grow in size and population each year. Greenville, which is also known by many as G-Vegas (what happens in Greenville, stays in Greenville…), is located near the NC beaches, just 30 minutes from I-95, and the largest city in the East. Students from other universities in the VA and NC region come to Greenville on weekends to party. Overall, G-Vegas has become a haven for young professionals (ages 25-40) in the health sciences and medical field and for professional BMX riders. Enough on G-Vegas, back to ECU.Everyone is friendly from students to my professors. The professors within my major really care about their students and are always there if a student needs help or has a question. Classes within one's major are tough, so one will need to study daily. Intro/Freshman classes are not as tough, but those classes prepare students for the harder classes. ECU is a very diverse campus. Being a minority and an out of state student, I thought that I would not fit in, but that is not the case. There are thousands of students with different racial, cultural, and class backgrounds on campus. There are always cultural events during the week and on weekends which are very fun. Also, about 20% of ECU's enrollment come from out of state, so it is possible you will find someone from your state or hometown. As far as athletics go, ECU is always seen as the underdog. However, our support for our athletic teams is outstanding. Attending football and basketball games are a must and are lots of fun. Overall, I love ECU. My experience here has been great and if I could do it all over again, I would. My senior year is approaching; however, I am looking forward to attending medical school at ECU after graduating.
