Major: Other (This Major's Salary over time)
Shimer is absolutely wrong for 99% of high school grads. That's not a bad thing, but you should know what you're getting into before you come. If you're after social life, job training, extracurriculars, amenities, a cool college town, great parties, or a degree from a school whose name opens doors, go somewhere else. Shimer is a place to read and think and talk, and meet other people who do the same. The intellectual content of a Shimer education is better than that of the vast majority of schools out there. If that motivates you, Shimer might be your place. If you'd rather have a "normal" college experience, save your money and go to state school.
