Mass Maritime prepares you to be very versitile. You are able to work in many different areas and the schools' reputation does open doors. The course work can be difficult as student take between 18 and 21 credits per semester. Many schools start out at 15 credits. For me Mass Maritime worked because I sought direction and was uncertain of my career path. You can change majors within the first two years without much disruption. I would attend Mass Maritime again, maybe after a few years in the service due to the dedication that is required to excel.
