Compared to the laughable requirements for all my classes (other students could not write proper sentences much less whole papers), my thesis has turned into a horrible nightmare of unexpected expectations. Worse still, I am not sure exactly what these expectations are - I have petitioned to graduate twice now (and paid twice!) and had to turn down a teaching offer because my thesis is still not "quality" enough. Define quality. Please! Also, I have heard horror storied about unqualified instructors being hired over qualified applicants because those hired were friends with the administration. There are also other unfair acts that have taken place within the administration that has resulted in lawsuits over freedom (or lack thereof) of speech. Be careful!
