I absolutely love SMU. There are many stereotypes about the students here, but schools everywhere have students who fit those same stereotypes. I come from a wealthy white family but I work very hard to do well in school and help my community. None of my friends are remotely snobby, and none of the girls are mean. It is an amazing school in an amazing city. Visit the campus and decide if it is a good fit for you. Do not go by what people who have had a negative experience here say, for they do not accurately represent the school or the people. If you do not have fun here it is because you are not trying to. It is very easy to make friends and everyone is very nice.
